Tens of thousands march through HK, defying order

Tens of thousands of Hong Kongers yesterday marched through the center of Hong Kong Island to the vicinity of government headquarters, ignoring a police-approved end point and defying a ruling that shortened the planned route.

Taiwan yesterday held a launching ceremony for its first domestically produced crane vessel, the Green Jade, to be used for offshore wind farm projects, with Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) saying it was a milestone in the nation’s push for green energy.
