The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) yesterday accused the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) of involvement in nationwide vote-buying activities for the Jan. 16 presidential and legislative elections, warning that it might file lawsuits after the elections.

The Democratic Progressive Party’s (DPP) Central Standing Committee yesterday adopted a resolution aimed at regulating political party assets, while prohibiting parties to run businesses, specifically targeting the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT).

The European Parliament’s first delegation to Taiwan arrived yesterday in the nation for discussions on fighting disinformation, with delegation members scheduled to meet President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) today.

The 13-person delegation is visiting Taiwan on a three-day trip, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
