The Taiwan Solidarity Union (TSU) and 50 pro-independence groups yesterday launched a referendum drive against the government’s proposed economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA) with China, vowing to stop President Ma Ying-jeou (馬英九) in his tracks. TSU Chairman Huang Kun-huei (黃昆輝) told a press conference that the party would arrange 24 locations nationwide to collect signatures for the petition. He called on the public to stand up and express their opinions on this important issue. |
