Taiwan and US sign MOU for annual economic talks

Taiwan and the US signed a five-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish annual economic talks, which could be extended another five years, Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu (吳釗燮) said yesterday.

Activist groups yesterday campaigned at the Miramar Plaza in Taipei’s Dazhi area to call for amendments to the Referendum Act (公民投票法) and recalling legislators they say are not doing their jobs.
