Third nurse infected in hospital cluster

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) yesterday reported the fifth COVID-19 case in a cluster infection at a Taoyuan hospital, where four other medical workers were confirmed to have been infected over the past week.

The first case of a doctor contracting COVID-19 after treating an infected patient was one of two locally transmitted cases and two imported cases reported by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) yesterday.

DHARAMSHALA, June 1: Tens of thousands of pro-democracy marchers filled the streets of Hong Kong Sunday, as the former British colony marked 15 years since the return to Chinese rule.

The protests rallied around the swearing-in ceremony of Leung Chun-ying, a millionaire property consultant considered close to China's communist rulers, as the chief executive from Chinese President Hu Jintao.
