Ukraine thanks Taipei for support

The Ukrainian parliament on Monday expressed its gratitude for Taiwan’s support amid the Russian invasion.

The Verkhovna Rada in a Telegram post said that Taiwan has supported Ukraine “from the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion.”

US troops should be based in Taiwan, Bolton says

Former US national security adviser John Bolton on Saturday called for US troops to be stationed in Taiwan, harkening back to the allies’ arrangement prior to 1979.

Given the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Bolton called for Taiwan to be protected through political and military deterrence.

DHARAMSHALA, March 7: Responding to the call for March 6 global campaign by the Tibetan Youth Congress, the largest pro-independence group in exile, Tibetans carried out demonstrations, vigils, and petitioning campaigns in solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet.

From the site of the indefinite fast in front of the UN headquarters in New York, the three Tibetan hunger strikes took part in a live webcast of their protest. Into their 14th day of fasting, physical deterioration was visible as they took turns to speak.
