DHARAMSHALA, November 26: In more alarming reports coming out of Tibet, a Tibetan man - the third in a single day - set himself on fire in Luchu region of Kanlho, eastern Tibet protesting China’s rule over of Tibet.

A group of exile Tibetans from Luchu identified the Tibetan self-immolator as Gonpo Tsering, 24 years of age and father of three children, all below the age of six.

Demonstrators take part in a protest against the government in Taipei yesterday. Workers hurled eggs at the Presidential Office as thousands took to the streets demanding that the government change economic policies which they say favor big business.

Thousands of workers, students and social activists yesterday threw eggs toward the Presidential Office in Taipei during a protest about various economic and social issues, after launching five parades across the city.

“Fuck the government. It’s garbage,” thousands of demonstrators assembled on Ketagalan Boulevard chanted in unison as they moved toward the Presidential Office.

As they reached police barricades that stopped them about 300m away from the Presidential Office building itself, they began to throw eggs.

A group of citizen journalists yesterday demanded that the legislature uphold the Constitution by recognizing citizen journalism and allowing the public to attend legislative sessions after their attempt to cover legislative affairs was rejected.

As the nation’s top legislative body, the legislature should not violate the Constitution by barring citizen journalists and legislation session visits, several citizen journalists and dozens of representatives from civic groups said during their protest in front of the legislature in Taipei which coincided with Constitution Day.
